The book begins with a twenty-seven page introduction by Jerome Kohn, the editor and actual architect of the Arendt writings which comprise this book.

The first half of the book consists of five chapters. Wonderfully illustrated book about days gone by in rural France. She was a stylist before anything else and this collection, published on the 30th anniversary of her death, burnishes the legend. But Sarnoff believed radio should be made available to the average man on the street with a handsome set suitable for the living room with a speaker instead of headphones.

The quest for talking movies began in about 1919. Instead, they reveal the human side of agents who put their lives in jeopardy on a regular basis.. I wish in every field people could write such fun books, summarizing their research and the state of the art.
